General Surgeon

We are seeking a highly skilled General Surgeon to join our team at D-H Lebanon-MHMH. As a General Surgeon, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our patients, consistent with our facility's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical and administrative services to ensure timely care of patients.
- Abide by the Dartmouth Health Bylaws for the Professional Staff and Code of Conduct.
- Review patient records and medical history.
- Determine appropriate diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Order screening and diagnostic tests and studies.
- Obtain informed consent for treatment, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.
- Prescribe medications, treatments, and medical devices within your scope of practice.
- Initiate referrals to other providers as necessary.
- Initiate admission and discharge of patients, if applicable.
- Provide consultation, education, and counseling regarding the management of acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.
- Encourage behavioral change and assist with self-management skills to improve overall health.
- Complete documentation in a timely manner.
- Provide patient-centered care.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and informed consent.
- Supervise APPs as directed.
- Participate in continuing medical education (CME).
- Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives.
- Advanced clinical degree (MD or DO).
- Postgraduate training in a residency program.
- Medical licensure in the State of Vermont.
- Board eligible/board certified in General Surgery.
