As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing small molecule therapeutics to treat unmet medical needs.
Key Responsibilities- Project Leadership: Independently drive medicinal chemistry projects from hit identification to lead optimization, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality results.
- Medicinal Chemistry Expertise: Design and synthesize novel drug molecules, leveraging state-of-the-art synthetic methodologies and techniques to advance hit-to-lead and lead optimization programs.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including proteomics, biology, and other domains, to integrate data and inform medicinal chemistry strategies.
- Communication and Presentation: Effectively present results at company meetings and contribute to the development of project strategies.
- Data-Driven Approach: Stay up-to-date with the latest results, brainstorm with the team, and help craft new ideas in response to emerging data.
- Education: PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: At least 6+ years of industry experience, or MS with 12+ years, or BS with 14+ years.
- Track Record: Demonstrated contributions to the field of synthetic organic chemistry, including publications and patents.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, with a track record of success in all aspects of medicinal chemistry and drug discovery.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
