Job Summary:

As a skilled RN Medicine Specialty, you will provide high-quality patient care in a hospital setting, working with a variety of patients with complex health issues. Under general supervision, you will assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting their responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments. You will also assist physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, obtain and monitor physiological data, and administer medication as prescribed. Additionally, you will interact with patients and families, sharing care plans and informing them of hospital procedures. Your strong communication and delegation skills will enable you to make referrals and delegate tasks to support staff effectively. Key Responsibilities:

• Provides nursing care to patients with complex health issues in a hospital setting
• Assesses patient needs and develops individualized care plans
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assists physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtains and monitors physiological data, intervening when necessary
• Administers medication as prescribed, including intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interacts with patients and families, sharing care plans and informing them of hospital procedures
• Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
• Delegates tasks to support staff effectively

Requirements:

• Current RN licensure in the state of practice
• BSN degree or higher
• Experience in a hospital setting, preferably in medicine specialty
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and delegation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
