Key Responsibilities

As a Floor Technician, your primary duties will include:

  • Ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of floors in patient areas, public spaces, restrooms, and offices.
  • Operating and maintaining floor care equipment effectively.
  • Performing daily maintenance on hard surface floors, including mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and refinishing.
  • Managing waste materials, including linens and medical waste.
  • Assisting with the movement of equipment and furniture as needed.
  • Being a supportive member of the hospital team.
  • Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of one year of floor care experience is preferred.

Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred.
