KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role, you will collaborate with various business units and product teams to gain insights into their operational models, assisting in the development of future strategies and the formulation of requirements for enhancements within our core dining systems.

The Product Data Analyst will take the lead in aligning the vision of dining product features with the product backlog. You will oversee the prioritization of user stories and represent the product team in cross-functional planning and implementation discussions.

Primary Duties:

  • Conduct interviews and facilitate sessions for requirements gathering, process analysis, and application design with stakeholders, including internal IT and business partners.
  • Assess commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products to determine the best fit based on stakeholder needs.
  • Develop business cases to secure funding for new initiatives.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Agile methodologies, including maintaining a backlog of well-defined user stories with dependencies and acceptance criteria.
  • Act as the customer advocate throughout the development process.
  • Ensure that design considerations are integrated into every feature and user experience.
  • Validate and accept completed work that aligns with customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with various technology teams to estimate resources and timelines to meet business needs, communicating these to stakeholders.
  • Gather and create detailed business requirements and scope documents, translating them into functional specifications.
  • Create and manage project deliverables for small to medium-sized projects, ensuring all tasks are logged, tracked, and resolved to meet quality, timeline, and budget expectations.
  • Assist business partners in troubleshooting IT issues and facilitate collaboration with other IT teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in reviewing business data schemas.
  • Understanding of data analytics, engineering, and management.
  • Able to interpret and analyze data flow diagrams.
  • Experience in conducting business process reviews.
  • Proficient in creating business cases and use cases.
  • Experience in documenting requirements.
  • Familiarity with the software development life cycle.
  • Experience in the testing development life cycle.
  • Knowledge of project management life cycle.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in relevant technologies or systems (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Access Control Specialist).
  • 5-7 years of experience across all phases of the application development life cycle, particularly in business analysis and quality assurance testing.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Visio.
  • Experience with project planning tools (e.g., MS Project).
  • Background in a similar role within the maritime sector.
  • Knowledge of cyber and physical security protocols related to access control systems.

The compensation range reflects our good faith belief regarding the salary for this role. Factors influencing pay include education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, and business needs. This range may be adjusted in the future.
