Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Veterinary Medical Oncology Assistant to join our team at Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers.

The successful candidate will work closely with our medical oncology team to ensure proper patient and client care. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with the medical oncology team to ensure seamless patient care
  • Assist with chemotherapy administration and handle chemotherapy drugs safely
  • Perform various tasks, including weighing animals, taking vital signs, and inputting data into electronic medical records
  • Assist with procedures, maintain equipment, and ensure a timely start to oncology procedures
  • Properly use laboratory equipment, handle specimens, and submit them to laboratories
  • Assist with radiograph positioning, processing, and submitting images for review or storage
  • Accurately fill and dispense medications and refills as directed by Fetch clinicians
  • Alert the inventory manager when medications and supplies are low
  • Clean, stock, and maintain hospital equipment
