About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Foster Care Therapist to join our team at Seneca Family of Agencies. As a Foster Care Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing therapeutic services to youth and young adults in foster care, helping them achieve their wellness goals and improve their overall well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Provide counseling, family therapy, and case management services to help clients achieve their wellness goals
  • Collaborate with youth to develop their sustainable wellness plan, including identifying their network of natural supports
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with community members, service providers, and county partners
  • Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  • Attend the Katie A. Child and Family Team meetings
Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Psychology/Counseling/Social Work
  • Eligible to register with the California BBS as: ASW, AMFT, APCC, or full licensed
  • Flexible schedule, with the ability to work some evening
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies insurance policy
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
  • Proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination or an HR-approved medical/religious exemption

  • Starting at $71,080 - $85,080 per year, commensurate with experience
  • Additional $4000 salary increase for BBS licensure
  • Additional compensation provided upon passing bilingual language proficiency exam
