Job Summary

The Banquet Bartender provides timely, accurate, and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages for each guest. This role requires a strong knowledge of drinks, wines, and menu descriptions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all stock is up to par levels, completing daily inventory, and verifying guests' ages. Additionally, they will provide prompt and accurate reports of all income received during their shift and maintain a positive, friendly attitude with coworkers and guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follows all steps of service to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Prepares drinks according to recipe standards and knows drink names, ingredients, method of preparation, appropriate glassware, and garnishes.
  • Knows all wines by the glass and at least 5 wines in each category on the wine list in varying price ranges and styles.
  • Knows specialty beverages, including single malt scotches, cognacs, and specialty drinks.
  • Ensures all menu descriptions of bar menu and dining room menu are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Completes daily inventory and informs servers/managers/bar back of any changes.
  • Verifies all guests are at least 21 years of age and provides prompt, accurate reports of all income received during their shift.
  • Maintains a clean, orderly appearance of the restaurant service area and assists with/executes any and all tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Fills in for server shifts when needed and follows all proper sanitation guidelines.


Qualifications

  • Able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Responsible, dependable, and punctual.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to speak, read, and understand English.
  • Clean and professional appearance.
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm for all things 21c and exhibits strong beverage knowledge.
  • Must pass a background check.


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Requires lifting of up to 50 lbs.
