Kitchen Manager Leadership Role

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing the food and beverage service staff, ensuring a high level of member service, and meeting financial goals. This role involves managing all aspects of service, including proper room preparation, staff scheduling, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities- Service Management
Manages service aspects in all food and beverage assigned areas and events, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests.
- Dining Area Management
Ensures proper room preparation, including setup of tables, chairs, linens, table settings, and glassware.
- Staff Supervision
Hires, manages, and trains staff in technical and non-technical aspects of their role, including standards of quality and service.
- Scheduling and Communication
Creates and maintains weekly schedules for staff, communicates changes as necessary, and ensures adequate staffing for events.
- Performance Evaluation and Supervision
Evaluates and supervises staff performance, carries out disciplinary actions as needed, and reviews incidents with the General Manager.
- Inventory Management
Conducts beverage, china, glass, and silverware inventories, and ensures accurate daily and weekly punch details for service staff.
- Physical Requirements
The Kitchen Manager must be able to lift 20-35 pounds, work in an upright standing position for extended periods, and navigate the property/building as required.
- Additional Responsibilities
Fills in as a Server, Host, Wait Assistant, Bartender, or other positions to relieve backup staff during peak periods or when short-staffed, and works with remaining staff to complete tasks efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or associate degree, and/or equivalent Food and Beverage or Hospitality experience. They should have 5 years of customer service experience, 5 years of food and beverage experience, and 5 years of supervisor/managerial experience in the food and beverage industry. The candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule, multitask effectively, and communicate effectively with all levels of management, employees, members, and other stakeholders.
Compensation and BenefitsThe Kitchen Manager is a full-time exempt associate position, eligible for comprehensive benefits, including medical plans, dental, vision, time off benefits, paid holidays, and a 401(k) with company match. Occasional travel may be required for training and company functions. The annual salary is $45,000.
