About the Position

ColumbiaCare Services, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Supportive Housing Associate to join our team at our Orchard Home and Swing Lane Supportive Housing program in Medford, Oregon.

The Supportive Housing Associate will play a vital role in motivating adults with serious mental illness to participate in skills training and other treatment activities. Primary responsibilities include facilitating access to community resources, assisting tenants with healthcare arrangements, housing applications, move-in arrangements, medication administration, money management, symptom monitoring, and housekeeping.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate empathy and active listening skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Crisis de-escalation training is also a requirement, which involves performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate access to community resources and services
  • Assist tenants with healthcare arrangements, housing applications, and move-in preparations
  • Administer medication and provide support with daily living activities
  • Monitor symptoms and provide support with crisis management
  • Participate in skills training and other treatment activities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care

Requirements:

  • Eligibility for Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) registration
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in behavioral science or related field preferred
  • Minimum three years of verifiable behavioral health experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs in a supervised setting
  • Valid Oregon driver's license and ability to pass a DHS criminal background check
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
