About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Engineering Specialist to join our team in Alexandria, Virginia, or Orlando, Florida. As a Facilities Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to improve safety, reliability, and throughput.

The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering degree and Professional Engineer license, with a minimum of eight years of design experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD 2012 or later is required, along with experience in the use of documents relating to project development, contracting, and construction.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to improve safety, reliability, and throughput
  • Performing design work for new construction, renovations, and improvement projects
  • Interpreting and adapting traditional methods and approaches in developing design calculations, layouts, drawings, and specifications
  • Responsible for selected construction inspections, quality control, and submittal reviews

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree and Professional Engineer license
  • A minimum of eight years of design experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2012 or later
  • Experience in the use of documents relating to project development, contracting, and construction

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
