Cloud Engineering and Integration Manager

Job Summary:

Sev1Tech is seeking an experienced Engineering and Integration Manager to lead a team of technical resources supporting a federal Network Cyber and Cloud Support Services program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud engineering and integration, with a focus on developing and deploying centralized cloud management platforms and platform as a service solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess resource requirements for engineering and integration
  • Determine best resource mix for specific projects
  • Assign engineering and integration resources to Technical Delivery Managers
  • Establish and ensure adherence to engineering processes for building and deploying cloud solutions and services
  • Balance and manage the priorities of a diverse team of engineering resources, in coordination with the leadership team
  • Ensure that E&I staff maintain required technical skill-sets through training and certifications
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from program leadership and customers as needed
  • Oversee technology evaluations and pilot projects

Requirements:

  • Ten (10 plus) years of IT leadership experience
  • 6+ years of engineering leadership experience
  • Substantive understanding of several areas including but not limited to Cloud, DevSecOps, Containerization, Data Management, Security, Application Migration, and Networking
  • Experience managing teams of more than 25FTE
  • Effective team leadership skills, including risk management, skill development, task prioritization, performance management, and mentoring/coaching of cross-functional team members
  • Ability to meet multiple demands on time, in cross-functional, hybrid team environments
  • Strong communication skills with customers at all levels as well as other team members
  • Familiarity with industry best of breed automation tools
  • Demonstrated ability to keep pace with new technology and services offerings
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM)
  • Active Top Secret Security clearance with Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) or Customs & Border Protection (CBP) preferred
  • Cloud certification
