Diesel Mechanic Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Quantix Supply Chain Solutions. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day equipment maintenance on company equipment, including preventative maintenance, minor to major repairs, and ensuring that all vehicles are in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of company equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions.
  • Perform P.M. inspections to ensure DOT requirements are met.
  • Assist with road service calls during emergency breakdowns.
  • Complete required documentation associated with repairing vehicles and documenting parts usage.
  • Assure compliance with all appropriate safety rules and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Valid and unrestricted Driver's license.
  • Must have a Toolbox.
  • Automotive/Mechanical Trade or Vocational certification preferred. ASE certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Technician experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:

The ability to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind cab using normally available footholds and handholds.

The ability to move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

The ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and crawl to inspect and/or wash vehicles.
