Home Care Wellness LLC is seeking a highly skilled Per Diem Speech Therapist to join our team in Taylor, MI. As a Speech Therapist, you will work with patients in their homes, providing tailored care and support to help them overcome communication, language, and swallowing challenges.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate patients to assess their medical, psychosocial, and environmental needs, as well as speech, language, and swallowing challenges.
- Develop personalized treatment plans in partnership with patients and physicians to target specific functional requirements such as pronunciation enhancement and speech muscle strengthening.
- Administer therapy for speech, language, augmentative communication, and feeding through exercises and teaching clients methods to improve their communication abilities.
- Establish achievable goals for patients, track their progress, and modify goals when necessary.
- Collaborate with the patient's care team members, including dieticians, social workers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, teachers, and specialists.
- A master's or doctoral degree from an accredited program in communicative sciences and disorders recognized by the US Department of Education.
- At least one year of clinical experience in speech-language pathology and completion of 1,260 hours of supervised postgraduate clinical experience.
- Certification to practice speech-language pathology, valid CPR certification, and potentially current ASHA certification.
- A valid driver's license and insured automobile are required.
- A competitive hourly rate of $42-$55, depending on experience.
