Key Responsibilities- Electrical System Installation: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial electrical systems, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
- Electrical Panel and Circuit Breaker Termination: Skillfully terminate electrical panels, circuit breakers, and transformers, ensuring proper connections and adherence to industry standards.
- Blueprint Interpretation and Project Implementation: Read and interpret electrical blueprints and manufacturer's specifications, ensuring accurate implementation of project requirements.
- Preventative Maintenance: Complete preventative maintenance on electrical and grounding systems, including measuring, and recording voltages, amperages, and resistances, and using thermal imaging cameras to verify and troubleshoot potential issues.
- Electrical Component Inspection: Inspect electrical components for wear and corrosion.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot electrical systems and devices effectively, identifying and resolving issues to maintain optimal functionality.
- Documentation and Reporting: Complete all job-related documentation in detail, including project reports, installation records, and other relevant paperwork.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and execution of electrical installations.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, promoting a culture of safety awareness on job sites and during all electrical installations.
- Education and Experience: A high school diploma or GED; Completion of four-year electrical apprenticeship is preferred. Possess 5+ years of experience in commercial electrical installation, covering Tenant Improvements (TI's) and Ground-Up Construction from project initiation to completion.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Demonstrate familiarity with OSHA and NFPA70 regulations, as well as standard electrical safety practices.
- Communication and Technical Skills: Must have excellent communication skills and be able to give verbal/written reports of job status, repair recommendations, equipment/supplies needed. Must have an excellent driving record and a valid driver's license. The job WILL require driving long distances to job sites. Overnight stays in hotels up to 3 nights per week are required. The company will cover hotel costs and provide a meal allowance per company guidelines.
- Computer Skills: Must have good computer skills and be comfortable with Microsoft software to include Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, and Adobe (PDF's).
- Competitive Compensation: Competitive pay depending on previous experience and current certifications. Overtime is also a factor and is paid at 1.5 X base. We are a performance-based company and pay will ultimately reflect the employee's productivity and overall performance.
- Benefits Package: Three weeks of paid vacation after 90 days (first year is pro-rated based on start date). Up to 9 paid company holidays. Paid sick time (up to one week). Company paid Basic Life Insurance ($75,000). Company paid Short-term and Long-term Disability Insurance. Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. A 401K plan.
