The Maintenance Engineer I is tasked with executing a range of maintenance and repair duties to ensure the hotel is consistently maintained to the highest standards.

This position necessitates a proactive mindset in recognizing and resolving maintenance challenges, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.


Responsibilities:
1. Execute routine maintenance activities, encompassing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.

2. Perform regular evaluations of equipment and systems to detect and rectify potential issues.

3. Address maintenance requests from guests and staff in a timely manner.

4. Keep precise records of all maintenance and repair undertakings.

5. Aid in the execution of preventive maintenance initiatives.

6. Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines.

7. Collaborate with various departments to enhance hotel operations and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical training or certification in a relevant field is preferred.

2. Prior experience in a maintenance or engineering capacity, ideally within a hotel or hospitality setting.

3. Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building upkeep.

4. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.


Physical capability to perform essential job functions, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
