Aircraft Paint Layout Technician

Elliott Aviation, a leader in aircraft solutions, is seeking a skilled Aircraft Paint Layout Technician to join their team in Moline, IL. This role is responsible for assisting in all phases of aircraft painting, interpreting renderings, and participating in masking, stripping, sanding, and preparing aircraft for paint. If you have a passion for aviation and a keen eye for detail, this may be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate stencils, mix paints, and apply stripes and insignias
  • Assist with and apply design layout tapes per renderings
  • Apply sealer and masks the aircraft using tapes and paper products
  • Clean and sand in preparation for stripping, priming, and painting processes
  • Apply etch and anti-corrosion coating to aircraft and rinse
  • Apply paint to aircraft interior and exterior surfaces
  • Polish and detail exterior paint
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to attain and retain AOA badge or Airport requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in auto or aircraft painting layout required
  • Ability to read and understand aircraft maintenance manuals for placard placement
