About the Role:

The primary responsibility of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is to deliver routine daily nursing care and services to assigned Patients, adhering to their individualized care plans.

Qualifications:
  • Mandatory state certification as a Nursing Assistant.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and document personal care for assigned Patients in compliance with safety policies and state/federal regulations.
  • Encourage and facilitate the highest level of independence for Patients.
  • Report Patients' status to the supervising charge nurse at the start and end of each shift.
  • Provide insights into Patients' conditions and document observations as necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Follow established procedures for safe lifting and transferring of Patients.
  • Ensure that all equipment, including mobile devices, is charged, clean, and functional, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
  • Participate in annual in-service training programs to maintain nursing assistant certification.
  • Perform incidental housekeeping or maintenance tasks to ensure a clean and hazard-free environment for Patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities and serve as a role model for the team.
  • Understand and enforce Cantex Continuing Care Networks Clinical Policies and Procedures for Abuse Prevention.
  • Attend weekly Patient Care Management Systems in-service sessions and apply the knowledge to Patient care.
  • Ensure the safety of Patients and residents.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.
