Job Title: RN PreOp PACU

Overview:

SCA Health is a dynamic organization that values innovation and collaboration. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Preoperative and Postoperative Care (PACU) department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients preoperative and postoperative status to identify potential risks and develop individualized care plans.
  • Medication Administration: Safely administer medications to patients, utilizing the 8-rights of safe medication administration.
  • Wound and Tissue Perfusion: Perform interventions to maintain the integrity of patients wounds and tissue perfusion at or above baseline levels.
  • Genitourinary, Gastrointestinal, Musculoskeletal, Endocrine, Respiratory, Cardiovascular, and Neurological Systems: Perform interventions to maintain the status of these systems and fluid, electrolyte, and acid-base balances at or above baseline levels.
  • Education and Communication: Educate patients and their families on postoperative care, medication management, and expected responses to the operative or invasive procedure.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other disciplines to ensure seamless patient care and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
  • One year of Preoperative or PACU experience required.
  • Medical/surgical nursing experience.
  • Current state licensure to practice within good standings.
  • Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification.
  • Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification.
  • Successful completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course is required when pediatric care is included in the facility scope services within 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALS certification.

Compensation:

Minimum: USD $37.00/Hr.

Maximum: USD $42.00/Hr.
