Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Design Engineer to join our team in Long Beach, CA. This role involves designing and developing RF systems for satellite payloads and electronically steered antennas. The successful candidate will have a strong background in RF/Analog circuit design and board layout, as well as experience modeling, designing, and testing RF subsystems. They will also have expertise in RF front-end design and integration of RF subsystems, and be familiar with directional couplers, circulators, and other waveguide components.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing RF circuits and systems, selecting and specifying components, modeling and validating RF system behavior, developing interfaces between RF circuits and antennas, evaluating and testing new components and technologies, performing trade studies between cost and performance, and estimating development time, NRE costs, and recurring costs for various RF circuits. You will also contribute to all phases of development life cycle, including requirements definition, systems and circuit design, integration of RF and wireless circuits and systems, testing, and manufacturing activities. Additionally, you will work closely with our team to ensure that our space technology solutions meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with minimum 10 years of broad experience in RF/Analog circuit design and board layout. You should also have graduate-level knowledge in electrical engineering, experience modeling, designing, and testing RF subsystems, preferably for satellite payloads, expertise in RF front-end design and integration of RF subsystems, and experience using HFSS, CST, ADS, Clarity, GRASP, GENESYS, or similar RF simulation tools. Familiarity with directional couplers, circulators, and other waveguide components, as well as practical and theoretical knowledge of mixed signal design and modulation methods, is also essential. Additionally, you should be able to perform bench-level analog/power bring-up and troubleshooting using analog and digital test equipment, and have hands-on prototyping and debug experience testing complex RF subsystems.
