About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Forest Lake, MN. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing facility equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair facility equipment and systems, including packing and line machines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, air compressors, plumbing and HVAC systems, etc.
  • Support the Production department with proper machine operation, troubleshooting, and changeover activities.
  • Follow all safety and SOP regulations and procedures, including Mustad Performance Systems (MPS).
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining sufficient and cost-effective inventories of parts and supplies.
  • Ensure all hazardous materials are properly labeled, stored, and handled, and that all Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are maintained and updated as required.
  • Provide documentation as needed, including data entry into PM software.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on an established schedule, including testing on energized electrical equipment.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Advanced PLC programming and robotics skills.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Ability to frequently stoop, kneel, bend, balance, reach above shoulders, crouch, and frequent use of hands to feel, handle, touch, or manipulate.
  • Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequently lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 75 pounds.
  • Training and/or certification in electrical, mechanical, or another related field with basic knowledge in PLC and robotics.
  • 2-5 years of general maintenance experience, including troubleshooting and correcting problems with mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pumps, and motors, control circuits, and power supply.
  • Demonstrated skills in operating hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and blueprint and schematic interpretation.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English verbal and written instructions.
  • Computer and MS Office literate.
