About the Role:
We are in search of a skilled and experienced Taxation Director to join our innovative team within the Finance sector. This role is both challenging and rewarding, providing a chance to significantly influence our organization's tax planning and compliance strategies.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related functions, including the preparation of corporate and partnership tax returns, ensuring adherence to tax regulations, and formulating effective tax strategies. A CPA designation, along with a robust background in taxation and a strong aptitude for problem-solving and financial analysis, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise the preparation and submission of all tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws.
2. Develop and execute strategic tax planning for federal and state obligations.
3. Lead the tax team in preparing components of the company’s federal and state tax returns.
4. Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax forecasts.
5. Manage IRS audits, including preparation of responses and schedules.
6. Stay informed on legislative changes affecting tax laws and communicate implications to management and the tax team.
7. Support various internal audits and special tax-related initiatives.
8. Investigate and rectify process errors leading to incorrect tax filings.
9. Negotiate with tax authorities regarding payment matters.
10. Advise management on the impact of new legislation on tax obligations.
Qualifications:
1. CPA designation is required.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s in Taxation is preferred.
3. In-depth knowledge of tax codes and compliance procedures for corporations.
4. Familiarity with federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
5. Proficient in MS Office and accounting software.
6. Strong project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
7. Proven leadership and team management abilities.
