Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Tax Senior Manager to become a vital part of our National Tax practice. This role offers the flexibility of remote or hybrid work arrangements.

Your Team

This role will contribute to our National Tax Team, which supports the wider tax practice of the firm. The ideal candidate will possess a growth-oriented mindset and actively seek opportunities to enhance their expertise in both specialized tax services and diverse industries.

Additionally, the candidate will be enthusiastic about collaborating on thought leadership initiatives, webinars, and seminars while maintaining a results-driven approach to assist both internal and external clients in reaching their diverse business objectives.

Your Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting research on tax matters and filing obligations impacting tax compliance.
  • Reviewing tax returns to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Investigating complex tax issues utilizing the internal revenue code, treasury regulations, and other pertinent authorities/guidance.
  • Drafting technical memorandums related to tax matters.
  • Identifying opportunities to broaden the scope of current engagements by recognizing client needs and target requirements.
  • Actively participating in proposal development under management direction and leading responses to requests for proposals.
  • Providing regular performance feedback and conducting timely performance evaluations.
  • Developing the technical and industry skills of subordinates while fostering their growth.
  • Exhibiting initiative, vision, resourcefulness, creativity, and independent thought.

Your Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in a public accounting firm.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Achieved CPA licensure.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with audit software such as CaseWare or ProSystem FX.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
