About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Tractor Trailer Driver to join our team at Sun Recycling. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a Class A vehicle and transporting materials to and from our facility.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a Class A vehicle in a safe and efficient manner
  • Transport materials to and from our facility, adhering to all Federal Motor Carrier Regulations
  • Follow traffic patterns and flagger directions at a dump site
  • Maintain communication with Supervisors and other team members
  • Upkeep the general cleanliness of the vehicles you operate
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Valid CDL Class A in good standing
  • Current DOT Medical Card
  • Minimum of 3 years of on-the-road experience
  • Availability to work weekends
  • Experience with walking floor trailers, tipper trailers, and end-dump trailers is preferred
Physical Demands
  • Ability to skillfully and safely operate a Class A vehicle
  • Ability to attach, remove, and tarp trailers safely
  • Ability to drive attentively and safely throughout their shift
  • Ability to communicate well with others
  • Ability to strategically solve problems
  • Ability to perform light administrative duties (paperwork)
  • Ability to maintain continuous awareness of surroundings
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adhere to safety protocols and procedures
