We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our team at New River Electrical Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing expert guidance on accounting matters.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Leadership: Manage and lead our accounts payable, payroll, and cash receipt processes, driving process improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and filing of all federal, state, and local payroll tax withholding payments and returns, as well as manage bi-weekly payroll processing for non-bargain employees.
- Payroll Management: Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate on/off-boarding of bargain and non-bargain employees, and assist with payroll union audits and prepare comprehensive reports for management.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and develop and implement accounting policy and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Team Management: Hire and train new accounting staff as needed, and provide guidance and support to team members to ensure the successful completion of financial operations.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of related work experience in accounting.
- Skills: Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, and highly organized with strong attention to detail.
