About the Orthopedic Trauma Unit:

  • Oversee patient care in our 32-bed Orthopedic and Trauma Unit, focusing on total hip and knee replacements, elective shoulder surgeries, and traumatic orthopedic injuries.
  • Administer intravenous antibiotics for patients with joint infections and manage medical-surgical overflow cases.
  • Employ telemetry monitoring to guarantee patient safety and optimal health outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program with completion within 5 years of hire. RNs with 10 or more years of experience are exempt.
  • Preferred Education: Master’s degree in Nursing.
  • Required License/Certifications: Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply; licensee should confirm with NCBON.
  • Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider.
  • Preferred License/Certifications: National Certification in specialty area.
  • Preferred Experience: One year of hospital nursing experience.
