Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Observation Per Diem Nights team at Abrazo West Campus. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit, coordinating care planning with other disciplines and acting as a supervisor to direct other healthcare employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides individualized, age-specific, and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs.
- Coordinates care planning with other disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Acts as a supervisor, assessing, planning, delegating, and utilizing independent judgment in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care.
- Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals.
- Participates in hourly rounding and observes safety guidelines and safe work practices.
- May be asked to be in charge for a shift(s) and supervises other members of the healthcare team.
Requirements
- License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
- CPR certification.
- ACLS certification as applicable by Facility/by Department.
- Minimum of two years of current Level III NICU experience including neonatal ventilator.
- Prefer 1 year of acute care experience but will consider new graduate.
- Certification in specialty area of practice preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Strongly preferred experience in CVICU or ICU or Min 2 years in Cardiac Stepdown.
