Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team at Frye Regional Medical Center, part of LifePoint Health.
Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting. They will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and utilizing their clinical expertise to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Perform plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment.
- Document patient care given, monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Applicants should have a current state RN license and a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire, ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire. One year of experience is preferred, and ASLS certification is preferred.
