X Ray Technician Limited Scope Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled X Ray Technician Limited Scope to join our team at Concentra. As a key member of our patient care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, escorting them to dressing and x-ray rooms, and providing verbal and written instructions.
  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes, positioning equipment and adjusting controls according to specifications.
  • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure patient and team member safety.
  • Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order, reporting malfunctions to the Center Operations Director.
  • Follow radiologic workflows and ensure accurate documentation of patient x-ray visits.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Completion of a state-approved Limited Scope Technician certificate program and license, if applicable.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least six months of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and terminology.
  • Experience in X-Ray and familiarity with routine medical procedures.
