About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Host/Hostess to join our team at AEG. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greeting and Seating Guests: Welcome guests as they enter, provide menus, and answer any initial questions.
  • Table Management: Seat guests at tables or in waiting areas, and assign them to tables they prefer while maintaining a balanced rotation to ensure servers receive the right number of customers.
  • Guest Engagement: Engage with guests to ensure they are happy with their food and service, and respond to any complaints or concerns.
  • Phone and Reservation Management: Answer phone calls, take reservations, and answer questions in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Menu Knowledge: Possess a thorough knowledge of our menu and be able to make recommendations to guests.
  • Team Support: Assist other positions in the restaurant as needed, and provide support to ensure the smooth operation of the dining area.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Customer Service: Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Teamwork: Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
  • Work Style: Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality work standards.
  • Physical Demands: Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time and in a busy restaurant environment.
  • Experience: Restaurant experience a plus, but not required.
  • Availability: Weekend availability is a must.
