The primary objective of this position is to oversee the planning, direction, and coordination of work activities, paperwork, and resources necessary for the shipping department at Calhoun warehouse, including offsite warehouses and inventory control during the shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under supervision and limited decision-making, lead all components of safety, health, and environmental programs to achieve and maintain zero incidents and injuries.
  • Develop and maintain a motivated, mature, and professional work attitude, adhering to a superior dress code and work ethics.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and interpersonal skills, promoting a close team environment.
  • Conduct daily group meetings with all shift members to discuss tasks and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, practices, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), reporting unsafe activities to supervisors and/or managers and/or Human Resources.
  • Pay attention to details and apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions.
  • Provide training and support to other employees to accomplish their daily tasks.
  • Monitor Weekly Dock Audits and Daily SMAT Audits.
  • This position requires flexible working hours, including overtime, and assistance in covering shifts during vacation and call-offs.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Forklift experience is required.
  • Perform any other duties requested by supervisors.
