About the Role

The Senior Medical Science Liaison is a key member of our US therapeutic area medical unit team, responsible for analyzing and interpreting scientific data, acquiring customer insights, and fostering external expert networks to advance medical strategy and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals in the Western US territory.
  • Analyze and interpret complex scientific information and communicate it to key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals in a compliant and fair-balanced manner.
  • Support Takeda-sponsored research and assist with the facilitation of strategically aligned medical collaborative studies and investigator-initiated research processes.
  • Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities between key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals and Takeda US Medical.
  • Participate in executing medical strategy at medical conferences and communicate medical insights acquired through poster/session attendance and key opinion leader/healthcare professional interactions.
  • Respond to unsolicited healthcare professional medical information inquiries referred by Medical Information.
  • Complete all required customer activity documentation, training, expense reporting, and other administrative responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in life/health sciences (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent) is preferred, while a Master's degree in health sciences (MSN, NP, or PA) is the minimum requirement.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience post-doctorate as a field-based medical science liaison in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills are required.
  • Execution of activities within legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements is essential.
