Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting procedures related to construction projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Conduct detailed job costing analysis to maintain accurate project budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Identify and implement strategies to improve efficiency and accuracy in job costing and project accounting processes.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations for project financials.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to project teams, aiding in decision-making processes to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Project Accountant in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in cost accounting and job costing methodologies.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • CPA certification or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
