Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) collaborates with the Laser printing, Mailing, and Bindery departments at Direct Marketing Solutions (DMS) to guarantee that client requirements are fulfilled. The QAS applies a comprehensive understanding of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to confirm that all materials are prepared for production in line with established protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Confirms that materials produced align with the machine's job specifications.
- Ensures that address blocks and barcodes comply with postal standards.
- Assesses the font size, print quality, and text accuracy of outputs from the Laser department.
- Evaluates the fold dimensions and tray labels of outputs from the Bindery department.
- Inspects the sealing, postage, and contents of packages from the Mailing department.
- Immediately alerts the operator and relevant supervisor upon discovering any discrepancies.
- Acquires knowledge of all SOPs for the Quality, Mailing, Laser, and Bindery departments.
Additional Duties:
- Completes extra assignments and special projects as directed by the Quality Assurance Supervisor.
- Exhibits behavior that aligns with DMS Values and the Code of Conduct.
- Understands and adheres to all information technology and data security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
- Follows DMS rules and established policies regarding workplace health and safety.
- Complies with all other DMS policies and procedures.
- Finishes all required compliance training punctually and in good faith.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- One to two years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with common office equipment and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Work Schedule:
- Nights: Sunday-Thursday from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
- Overtime may be required as necessary.
