Surgical Care Specialist

As a General Surgery/Trauma Physician Assistant at Resiliency, you will work under the supervision of the surgeon to perform advanced diagnostic and therapeutic tasks related to surgery and trauma. Your responsibilities will include acting as a first or second assistant in surgery, participating in pre- and post-operative patient care, and adhering to all safety and infection control standards.
Additionally, you will engage in quality assessment and continuous quality improvement/performance improvement activities, and perform other duties as assigned. The Medical Staff Bylaws and Title 16 of the California Administrative Code grant the PA privileges as outlined.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and completion of a physician assistant program
- Current California State Physician Assistant License granted by the Physician Assistant Examining Committee and DEA registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
