Position Summary

We are seeking dedicated Personal Care Assistants to provide essential support in the Mishawaka, South Bend, Plymouth, Goshen, Elkhart, and Warsaw regions. In this role, you will engage directly with clients, adhering to individualized care plans within their residences. Your compassionate approach will not only ensure attentive and personalized care but also foster meaningful connections with those you assist.

As a detail-oriented and organized individual, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing environment that addresses the specific needs of each client. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for success in this position. Previous experience in home health care is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support clients with daily living activities, including mobility assistance in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or vehicles.
  • Provide care by changing bed linens, performing laundry, maintaining cleanliness in the home, and assisting with personal hygiene.
  • Document patient care, conditions, progress, or concerns, and communicate observations with the supervising staff.
  • Establish rapport with clients through conversation or reading aloud to promote mental well-being and alertness.
  • Administer medications and vaccinations as required.
  • Encourage clients to participate in exercises or other engaging activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited Home Health Aide program or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant professional experience.
  • Valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Current automobile insurance is required.
  • CPR certification is necessary.
