State and Local Tax Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled State and Local Tax Manager to join our team at True Partners Consulting. As a State and Local Tax Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and exceptional service in the areas of tax and financial reporting to Fortune 1000 and middle market companies.
Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, tax, or a closely related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience providing income, franchise, and sales and use tax consulting services in a public accounting, consulting, or law firm.
The successful candidate will have experience in nexus studies, apportionment and sourcing analysis, voluntary disclosures, merger and acquisition consulting, state tax audits, and state tax provisions. They will also have strong leadership skills, with the ability to supervise, mentor, and develop staff members.

Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
- Review state tax returns and workpapers, and provide state tax consulting services
- Provide written technical advice in the form of memorandums or other forms
- Research and resolve technical issues
- Supervise, mentor, and develop staff members
- Develop specialized SALT knowledge
- Identify opportunities for providing additional services to clients
