Description:At KPMG, we are seeking a highly skilled State and Local Income Tax Manager to join our Financial Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting multi-state companies with state and local tax issues, including compliance, advising, planning, structuring, and controversies.
You will work closely with our clients to provide relevant subject matter and industry knowledge and experience to internal and external clients. Your responsibilities will include reviewing information presented on state income tax returns before, during, and after preparation, as well as supporting multi-state companies with state and local tax controversies.
You will also help our audit teams with review and analysis of state tax-related income and balance sheet items, and build and manage client relationships. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of five years of recent experience performing tax research, preparing/reviewing state income tax returns for corporate entities, and providing technical advice on multi-state tax issues.
You will also need to have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university, and be licensed as a CPA, JD/LLM, EA, or MTX. You will need to have excellent writing, compliance, communication, management, and tax research skills, as well as the ability and desire to perform in a high-energy team environment.
