Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated College Project Manager Intern/Co-op to join our Houston, TX team. The successful candidate will assist Project Managers with project performance and profit from day one.

Responsibilities
  • Estimating: Describe project proposals and assign dollar values to projects.
  • Scheduling: Create a working timeline for subcontractors/trades to complete projects on time.
  • Design meetings: Attend design meetings with owners and teams to understand design proposals.
  • Buyout: Send bid instructions, schedules, and drawings to subcontractors, receive and evaluate proposals, and award subcontracts.
  • Permitting: Fill out permit forms, submit forms with drawings and fees, and wait for approval.
  • Shop Drawing and Submittal Review: Receive shop drawings or submittals from subcontractors, give to PM, communicate to subcontractor that they can begin ordering materials and working.
  • Billing: Subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and pay applications.
  • Job Site Visits: Visit job sites with PM to ensure projects are running smoothly.
Requirements
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
  • Enrolled in Civil/Architectural/Construction Engineering or Construction Management degree program.
  • Co-op or Intern construction experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic.
