Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple clients, contracts, and projects concurrently.
- Conduct geotechnical engineering analyses, studies, and calculations.
- Draft and compile technical engineering reports and documentation.
- Engage and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members at all levels.
- Guide, mentor, and supervise engineers and other staff members.
- OR Lead and manage a team or a local office.
- Evaluate technical reports and documents, including construction observation reports and engineering calculations prepared by junior engineers.
- Assist in business development and marketing initiatives, including preparing cost proposals and presentations for current and prospective clients.
- Adhere to Shannon & Wilson's Quality Assurance protocols.
- Promote and comply with Shannon & Wilson's Health and Safety and Loss Prevention policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Master's or PhD Degree in Geotechnical Engineering (or Geological Engineering), supported by a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Geology.
- A minimum of 14 years of experience in the field of Geotechnical Engineering.
- Possession of a Professional Engineering (PE) License in the relevant state.
- Experience in mentoring and supervising staff.

Level Placement
Typically, based on an applicant's education, experience, and qualifications, a Senior-Level Geotechnical Engineer would be positioned at either the Associate or Senior Associate level within Shannon & Wilson.
