POSITION: FAMILY SERVICE WORKER

The Family Service Worker plays a crucial role in assisting parents as they set and achieve their personal goals, fostering the growth of their children within the framework of their family and cultural backgrounds, and advocating for supportive communities for children and families of diverse cultures. This entry-level case management position also aids families in enrolling in the Early Head Start/Head Start program.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • A Bachelor’s or Associate degree in social services or a related field, along with two years of experience, is preferred.
  • Family Service Workers are required to obtain, within eighteen months of employment, a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field. Training will be provided by Arkansas Early Learning.

Essential Qualifications

  • Must possess a working telephone or mobile device.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license with minimum liability insurance.
  • Basic proficiency in computers and software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Adobe, etc.
