Norman Regional Health System is a community hospital system nestled at the Southern border of the Oklahoma City metro area. We are seeking an experienced Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist to join our innovative cardiovascular program.

Job Overview

This position plays a critical role in preparing equipment and providing patient care in a sterile environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in radiologic technology or cardiovascular technology, with previous procedural experience preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
  • Identifies and assesses patient condition, prepares, positions and provides patient care.
  • Establishes and maintains a sterile environment.
  • Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participates in the orientation of new staff.
  • Maintains strong professional working relationship with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications

Requirements include completion of 24 month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligible and/or current RCIS. Previous Procedural Area experience is preferred.

American Registry of Radiologic Technology. Registered and/or RCIS. Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) training required prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) must be maintained thru re-training. ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained through duration of employment.
