Medical Laboratory Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality laboratory services to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Collect blood specimens from hospital patients and prepare them for testing.
- Work with microbiology or anatomic pathology specimens as needed.
- Assist technical personnel in sample log-in, testing workflow, and specimen tracking.
- Accurately perform venipunctures, heel sticks, and finger sticks to collect proper specimens for testing.
- Drive to patient service centers to perform phlebotomy services as needed.
Salary and Benefits:
- $42,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
- A comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory experience preferred.
- A valid driver's license required for Reference Lab Only positions.
- The ability to meet productivity standards and follow established procedures and policies.
