Duties and Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will provide clinical music therapy services to clients and offer weekly clinical and academic supervision to undergraduate and bachelor’s equivalency-level students engaged in practicum experiences. Clinical settings may include on-campus facilities, client residences, virtual platforms, and various community locations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with clients and their caregivers.
  • Delivering timely feedback on student assignments and performance.
  • Collaborating with existing music therapy faculty to ensure compliance with the American Music Therapy Association's clinical training standards.
  • Potentially teaching undergraduate music therapy courses in areas of expertise, based on program needs.
Educational Requirements:

A Master’s degree in music therapy is required.

Experience Requirements:

At least two years of full-time clinical experience in music therapy or equivalent part-time experience; current MT-BC credential is mandatory.

Additional Requirements:

Previous experience supervising music therapy students or interns is preferred, along with clinical experience with individuals facing mental health and/or neurodevelopmental challenges. Experience in private practice or managing a music therapy business is also advantageous.
