Job Title: Assistant/Associate Professor of Music

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced music professor to join our faculty at Alabama A&M University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in music, including applied music and related method/technique classes, as well as music appreciation and other courses as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach music courses to students at the graduate and undergraduate levels
  • Develop and implement curriculum for music courses
  • Advise students on academic and career goals
  • Participate in departmental and university service
  • Conduct research and publish scholarly articles
Qualifications:
  • Terminal degree in Music or equivalent from an accredited university
  • Experience teaching at the collegiate level
  • Record of concert/recital performances
  • Current membership in professional music organizations
  • Extensive knowledge of music education
