Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Babylon Dental Care in Patchogue, NY. As a Patient Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Educate patients about their treatment plans and associated fees
  • Help patients understand their dental insurance benefits and calculate their financial responsibility
  • Work with outside patient care financing companies to provide patients with a wide range of financial options
  • Send pre-determinations to patients' insurance companies and follow up on timely returns
  • Collaborate with our financial team to address and collect patient balances
  • Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and respond to live chats or website leads
  • Participate in morning or afternoon huddles, share huddle sheets with our admin team, and mentor new team members
  • Follow up with patients who haven't scheduled their treatment yet and ensure our payment policy is being honored
Requirements:
  • 3 or more years of experience in a dental front desk position
  • Flexibility in regards to scheduling, including early morning, late evenings, and some holidays
  • Experience providing exceptional hospitality-inspired customer service in a fast-paced practice
  • Excellent attention to detail and high follow-through
  • The ability to calculate percentages accurately and quickly using basic math skills
  • A positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude, collaborative and comfortable in communications
  • Outstanding teamwork skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of people
