Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Lakin Correctional Center in West Columbia, WV. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to our incarcerated patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care under the clinical guidance of Registered Nurses.
  • Direct and guide patient teaching activities commensurate with education and demonstrated competencies.
  • Administer medications and interventions in accordance with provider instructions.
  • Document nursing encounters, patient response, effectiveness, complications, etc., and communicate information to supervisory personnel and physicians.
  • Maintain working and living areas and supplies in good order.
  • Participate in a nursing care and treatment team and assist physicians as assigned.
Requirements
  • Current, unrestricted STATE Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) License.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience; correctional experience preferred.
