Job Summary

The Lactation Specialist is a key member of the nursing team at Conway Regional Medical Center, responsible for providing expert care and education in the area of lactation. This role requires a strong understanding of nursing practices and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lactation education programs and resources to support breastfeeding mothers and their families.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless care and support for patients.
  • Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of lactation education programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in lactation and breastfeeding.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the Lactation Specialist must have a strong foundation in nursing practices and a passion for lactation education. A graduate degree in nursing or a related field is preferred, and current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Arkansas is required.
