Procurement Specialist

Division Overview:
The ITW GSE Division stands out as a leading manufacturer of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) tailored for the aviation sector, serving airports and airlines globally.

This role is pivotal in overseeing the replenishment and management of materials, with an annual expenditure exceeding $35 million. The Purchasing Agent will ensure the availability of parts through optimal inventory management techniques, including Kanban and MRD systems, to facilitate timely deliveries to both internal and external stakeholders. This position requires a thorough understanding of sourcing needs and the ability to evaluate and select suppliers that align with business standards.

• Implement MRD/Kanban methodologies for effective planning and inventory oversight.
• Procure materials, parts, supplies, and equipment in accordance with established purchasing protocols, ensuring the best pricing, delivery timelines, and terms.
• Advise on inventory levels to align with demand forecasts, analyzing various scenarios to meet shipment objectives.
• Engage with key stakeholders to review forecasts, integrating feedback to ensure alignment.
• Identify potential suppliers, solicit quotations, and analyze options to issue purchase orders while ensuring follow-up and expediting as necessary.
• Prepare and approve purchase requisitions, adhering to company policies and negotiated agreements.
• Monitor inventory levels daily to ensure performance standards are met and vendor obligations are fulfilled.
• Conduct administrative tasks, including investigating inventory discrepancies and verifying invoices.

Required Skills:

• 2 to 5 years of experience in procurement.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Self-motivated and results-driven, capable of working independently.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics ERP.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as operations or business.
