The Registered Nurse - ICU Pool is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced intensive care unit environment. As a critical care registered nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patients' responses and adjusting care plans as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-advocacy.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Texas or compact state license.
- Two years of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in critical care or ICU.
- Availability to work one full weekend per month and one full holiday per year.
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient care and safety.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
- Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare technologies.
- Certification in critical care or ICU nursing.
